Ponchos! I grew up with a mom and grandma who would wear dark ones to stun on the fabulous side whenever they were going to events, while I wear them now for a more boho feel. Ponchos are super versatile – they can be worn as outerwear, as a top, or even as a scarf. AND they look good on everyone, so what’s stopping you from falling head over heals in love with one this autumn?! I’ll show you a few ways that I wear mine:
- Asymmetrical Over-the-Shoulder
Drape the poncho over your shoulders as you normally would, then grab one side and drape it over the opposite shoulder for an effortless, yet chic look.
- Belt-It
This is where the .5 comes in since I like to belt my poncho two different ways. The first is to belt the whole thing. Grab your favorite waist belt and go!The second is to belt the front half of the poncho for a cape-like look. Superwoman, anyone?
- Scarf
Yes, most ponchos can be folded into a scarf and it’s amazing. For this one, I would suggest playing around with how you fold your poncho for a bit. Mine has fringe so I made sure that it was lined up so that most of the fringe would hang at the ends when I wrapped the poncho around as a scarf.
