Holiday Jumpsuit

Getting dressed should be simple because – let’s face it – life gets crazy. I find the two best ways to do this are (a) a highly curated closet and (b) one piece staples like dresses & jumpsuits.

The holiday season may be the craziest time of the year with work, traveling, events, and gifting. This tomato red jumpsuit from Zara is a perfect space saver when it comes to packing and completely food-baby friendly with its crossover silhouette. I don’t have to think much when I throw it on, plus it’s a stand-out jumpsuit that doubles as a maxi dress from the front. Even better – it’s super affordable, but looks high-end.

Did I mention I’m in love?

I coincidentally had an old clutch the same shade of red as the jumpsuit, which I thought paired well without looking too basic or over-the-top. Adding in a black jacket and black shoes (pictures coming soon) pulled it all together without taking away any of the jumpsuit’s shine.

3.5 Ways to Wear a Poncho

Ponchos! I grew up with a mom and grandma who would wear dark ones to stun on the fabulous side whenever they were going to events, while I wear them now for a more boho feel. Ponchos are super versatile – they can be worn as outerwear, as a top, or even as a scarf. AND they look good on everyone, so what’s stopping you from falling head over heals in love with one this autumn?! I’ll show you a few ways that I wear mine:

  1. Asymmetrical Over-the-Shoulder

Drape the poncho over your shoulders as you normally would, then grab one side and drape it over the opposite shoulder for an effortless, yet chic look.

  2. Belt-It

This is where the .5 comes in since I like to belt my poncho two different ways. The first is to belt the whole thing. Grab your favorite waist belt and go!IMG_7386 IMG_7389IMG_7390The second is to belt the front half of the poncho for a cape-like look. Superwoman, anyone?

  3. Scarf
Yes, most ponchos can be folded into a scarf and it’s amazing. For this one, I would suggest playing around with how you fold your poncho for a bit. Mine has fringe so I made sure that it was lined up so that most of the fringe would hang at the ends when I wrapped the poncho around as a scarf.IMG_7528IMG_7533

Cozy Chic

What’s that silly saying – no white after Labor Day? Yeah, not in my book. I love my bootcut white jeans, a year-round closet staple for years. Since the cooler months are slowly peaking in I decided to pair them with an ultra bright, comfortable sweater and basic black booties for this fall outfit.
